Incline Village, Nevada

The Donald W. Reynolds Community/Non-profit Center is an innovative office building designed for the Parasol Foundation of Incline Village. The goal of this design was to establish a facility framework that would promote collaboration and partnering between the community, volunteers and over 100 non-profit local organizations.
The articulated forms and massing, the skewed siting to Incline Way, porte-cochere entry, two story turret element and granite column and heavy timber supported roof overhangs at the exterior provides a visual expression to the dynamic excitement this facility is meant to engender to its users.
This facility is a new model, a proto-type for future Community/Non-profit Centers. The Client’s vision is for the design to prompt awareness, cooperation and collaboration among the community and between collaborators.
